Welcoming Soup and Soul Warm Welcome Sessions in Blantyre
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that the David Livingstone Birthplace centre in Blantyre is joining the Warm Welcome network, and will host free Soup and Soul sessions, which will offer hot food, friendly conversation and a range of hobby activities for adults; understands that the Warm Welcome Spaces campaign started as a crisis response to help keep warm through the winter and has blossomed into a network to reconnect individuals and communities, with attendees reporting that groups help them have a stronger sense of belonging to their community and a positive impact on their mental wellbeing, and wishes the new Warm Welcome space all the best for the future.
