Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Greenock Cut Visitor Centre
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Greenock Cut Visitor Centre on reaching its 30th anniversary since reopening in December 1994 following the devastating fire that destroyed the original building; commends Inverclyde Council for its investment in refurbishing the centre and ensuring its continued success as a gateway to Inverclyde’s rich natural and industrial heritage; recognises what it sees as the vital role of the rangers in delivering outdoor education, conservation efforts, and family events; celebrates the centre’s contribution to promoting local history, wildlife, and outdoor skills, and encourages people from across Scotland to visit this iconic destination within Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park, which, it understands, remains a treasured part of Inverclyde’s cultural and natural landscape.
