Hugh Black & Sons Wins Three Gold Smithfield Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates butchers, Hugh Black & Sons, on its remarkable achievement of winning three Gold Smithfield Awards; understands that Hugh Black & Sons, which has numerous shops across Lanarkshire, including Wishaw, was awarded for its outstanding pork links, black pudding and ribeye fillet steaks; notes that the company will be competing in 11 categories in London at the prestigious Diamond Awards; acknowledges that a cook-off will be held at Butchers Hall to determine which butcher will be crowned the Supreme Champion and receive the prestigious Smithfield Platinum Award; considers that the Smithfield Awards are the most respected and rigorous product evaluation event in the meat trade, with over 200 products submitted by Q Guild butchers across the UK, highlighting the craftsmanship, innovation, and skill within the industry, and wishes Hugh Black & Sons all the best at the upcoming awards and continued success in their pursuit of excellence in the butchery trade.
