Restoration Forth Wins Coasts and Waters Award at Nature of Scotland Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Restoration Forth on winning the Coasts and Waters Award at the 2024 Nature of Scotland Awards; understands that the Nature of Scotland Awards recognise the very best in Scottish nature conservation; notes that Restoration Forth is a partnership of 10 organisations, with the goal to plant four hectares of seagrass and reintroduce 30,000 oysters to the Firth of Forth by spring 2025; understands that it works to empower communities around the Firth of Forth to become champions for their local environment; highlights the work done by the Ecology Centre, Fife Coast and Countryside Trust, the Edinburgh Shoreline Project, the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh, the Heart of Newhaven Community Trust and the Scottish Seabird Centre in their role as Hubs for achieving the environmental goals of Restoration Forth, and commends also the good work of the other organisations that were shortlisted for the Coasts and Waters Award.
