Tesco Irvine's Toy Appeal
The motion
That the Parliament commends the generosity of Irvine shoppers who contributed to the Tesco Christmas toy donation campaign, which it believes resulted in 125,000 toys being gifted to children in need across the UK, including 250 brand-new toys donated to Women’s Aid in Irvine; recognises the kindness and community spirit demonstrated by local people in ensuring that children from vulnerable families received a gift on Christmas Day; acknowledges the efforts of Tesco Irvine Riverway Extra and its staff in organising the collection, and welcomes Tesco’s additional £25,000 donation to the Salvation Army to further support families in need during the festive season.
