Biennial Findhorn Bay Festival
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Findhorn Bay Arts, which runs the biennial Findhorn Bay Festival, on holding a successful festival in 2024; recognises that the festival was able to bring in nearly 9,000 visitors from around the world and bring together people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy what Moray and the wider Scottish arts scene has to offer; believes that the Findhorn Bay Festival is a vital part of the local arts scene in Moray, and that it provides a space for all people to express themselves artistically through drama, music or art; understands that the festival is not just an economic boost for the artists in Scotland, but also for the local economy of Moray, for which nearly £700,000 was raised, benefitting local businesses and the wider community; commends the organisers and volunteers for a great festival, and wishes them well for the future.
