Applauding Renaissance Care's Get Fit and Have Fun Campaign 2025

The motion

That the Parliament applauds Renaissance Care for its inspiring "Get Fit and Have Fun" campaign 2025; believes that the initiative has brought energy and enthusiasm to residents, including those at Rosepark Care Home in Uddingston; understands that the campaign embraces creative and inclusive activities to promote both physical and mental wellbeing, such as dance parties, step challenges and throwing competitions, which help to enhance mental health, physical fitness and community bonds through regular exercise; recognises the campaign’s exciting outdoor activities in January 2025, where residents and staff enjoyed the fresh air at Strathclyde Park, riding side-by-side tandem bikes; understands that this was a joyful and inclusive activity and that participants commented that they experienced the park like never before; commends Renaissance Care staff and residents for what it sees as their dedication to designing personalised, engaging activities that encourage individuals of all ages and abilities to stay active; acknowledges the vital role of physical and mental health in maintaining a high quality of life, and extends its best wishes to Renaissance Care, its dedicated staff, and its residents in continuing to champion wellbeing, inclusivity, and fitness for all.
