Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF) 60th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF) on its 60th anniversary of dedicated service in the fight against global poverty and injustice; acknowledges what it sees as the vital role that SCIAF has played over the past six decades in supporting vulnerable communities and delivering life-saving aid to those in need; commends the organisation’s commitment to sustainable development, advocating for human rights, and challenging the structural causes of poverty, inequality, and environmental degradation; understands that SCIAF’s unwavering dedication to social justice and solidarity has been recognised with a special Papal blessing in honour of its impactful work, and expresses its deepest appreciation for the volunteers, staff, and supporters of SCIAF, whose ongoing efforts continue to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and communities around the world.
