Farewell to Fresh 'N' Fruity Mount Florida

The motion

That the Parliament notes that Fresh 'N' Fruity, located in the Mount Florida area of the Glasgow Cathcart constituency, has now closed after three decades as a much-loved fixture of the local community; acknowledges that Sardar and Shahida Ali opened the shop in 1993 and were immediately embraced by the community, which came to appreciate the wide range of excellent quality fair trade fresh fruit, vegetables and organic products that they stocked; wishes them the very best for their well-earned retirement, and hopes that they can spend many years with their children and grandchildren, and recognises that the shop will be taken over by another family-run business, Zucchini Greengrocers, which will soon establish themselves in the community.
