National Lottery Funding for Irvine Cricket Club
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the award of £12,500 from the National Lottery Community Fund to Irvine Cricket Club; recognises that the funding will support the installation of energy-efficient upgrades, enhancing the club’s facilities for members and visitors; notes what it sees as the club’s important role in promoting sport within the community, offering a junior section for young members and hosting community events; further notes that Irvine Cricket Club competes in the Western District Cricket Union (WDCU) Premiership Two, providing opportunities for players of all ages to competitively participate in the sport; welcomes the improvements that this funding will bring to the club’s sustainability and infrastructure, and commends the club’s ongoing efforts to encourage active participation in cricket across North Ayrshire.
