1st Class Credit Union Wins Second Award for Excellent Service

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates 1st Class Credit Union, which is based in Rutherglen, on being awarded Prestige Awards Loan Agency of the Year 2025-26; understands that the credit union has achieved this award for the third year in a row; believes that this, in conjunction with its recent Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award, is testament to the team's dedication to supporting their members and providing exceptional service; notes that 1st Class Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, which aims to provide its members with an ethical and affordable service that is centred on their needs; recognises that the credit union recently collaborated with the local community development trust, Healthy N Happy, also based in Rutherglen, around breaking barriers to financial wellbeing and accessing support; commends its commitment to its members and the wider community, and wishes it continuing success.
