The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Inverclyde indie-rock band, Slix, on winning the Best Live Act award at the 2024 Scottish Alternative Music Awards; notes that the award was voted for by fans, reflecting the strong local and national support for the band; acknowledges the event’s role in showcasing the best of Scotland’s new music talent, with the ceremony held at Saint Luke’s and The Winged Ox in Glasgow; recognises the band’s recent success, including touring across Europe and performing at major festivals; commends the band for its dynamic live performances and dedication to its craft, and wishes Slix continued success in its musical journey.
