Funding Boost for North Ayrshire Athletics Club
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the award of £27,000 from North Ayrshire Ventures Trust to North Ayrshire Athletics Club to support the recruitment of an additional staff member; notes that this role will focus on expanding opportunities for young people across the region to participate in athletics; recognises the club’s success in engaging over 1,000 young athletes, with 250 taking part regularly, and commends the club’s efforts to create inclusive sporting opportunities, particularly in deprived areas, while also providing training, volunteering, and employment pathways for young people.
