Success of Lanarkshire Pride CIC in Securing National Lottery Funding Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Lanarkshire Pride CIC on securing £5,080 from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the successful bid to the National Lottery Awards for All programme will support Pride Connect, a new LGBTQ+ support service for young people in Lanarkshire; notes that the award will support a six-month pilot scheme, including a welcoming space in Hamilton town centre, with weekly sessions for young people to socialise; acknowledges that Lanarkshire Pride CIC is a not-for-profit community interest company, launched in 2024 to deliver projects in support of the LGBTQ+ community in Lanarkshire; thanks all the volunteers and supporters involved, including Cala Homes, and wishes Pride Connect and Lanarkshire Pride CIC continued success in delivering inclusive community events and support for LGBTQ+ people.
