Findings of See Me's "If it's Okay" Campaign

That the Parliament notes with concern the reported findings of See Me's "If it's Okay" campaign, which states that 60% of people surveyed in Scotland believe that there is still a shame associated with mental illness, 28% would not want someone with experience of a mental illness to look after their child, and 15% of people surveyed said that they would not want to be in a relationship with someone with experience of a mental illness; considers that mental health stigma and discrimination does not happen by accident; believes that these negative attitudes and behaviours can cause the shame experienced by many people living with a mental health problem, and encourages everyone in Scotland to support See Me's campaign and help make it really okay to not be okay.
