Men and Women Rugby Teams from Broughton Rugby Club Win League Titles in Year of Club’s Centenary

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Broughton Rugby Club on proudly celebrating its 100th year of delivering rugby in north Edinburgh; understands that its centenary year of 2025 has been made all the more special with league title winning seasons for both the Men’s (East Region 1) and Women’s (Caledonia Midlands East Region League 1) XVs teams; wishes the Women’s XV well in its forthcoming Shield competition fixtures; recognises the work that the club undertakes in offering an inclusive, safe and encouraging environment at its Wardie Playing Fields base; acknowledges the community engagement undertaken by its members as the club continues with achieving success both on and off the pitch, and wishes all those involved with the club well for its next one hundred years.
