Busby Bowling Club Celebrates 150-year Anniversary in 2025

The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges that Busby Bowling Club is celebrating its 150-year anniversary in 2025; notes that the bowling club officially opened on 1 July 1875 and that it has served as a sporting and social hub for generations of local people in Busby; understands that Busby Bowling Club is deeply embedded within the local community and provides a welcoming space for both members and non-members, and that it hosts a range of activities such as competitions and social events; recognises that a programme of events is planned to mark the bowling club's milestone in 2025, including a Family and Friends Day where anyone is able to try their hand at bowls in a relaxed setting; understands the significance of Busby Bowling Club in reaching its 150-year anniversary to the local community, and wishes the club every success with its planned activities to celebrate the milestone occasion.
