Cathcart Castle Golf Club Raises £14,600 for Charity

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Cathcart Castle Golf Club in Clarkston for raising nearly £15,000 to support a charity that provides hot meals for disadvantaged children; understands that over the course of 2024, the Eastwood-based sports club organised a range of fundraising activities, including a 100-holes-in-a-day golf marathon, a gala day, fashion shows and Christmas hamper appeals; acknowledges that Cathcart Castle Golf Club selected Launch Foods as its chosen charity early in 2025 to donate the £14,600 generated through the fundraising activities; recognises that the total sum is over £3,000 more than the golf club has ever been able to raise previously for charity; notes that the golf club was established in 1895, and commends everyone at Cathcart Castle on their outstanding fundraising efforts.
