Successful Fundraiser for the Kanyanda Project, Irvine

The motion

That the Parliament commends the Kanyanda Project, which is based at Fullarton Connexions, Irvine, on its successful Mardi Gras ceilidh fundraiser in support of building a health clinic in Kanyanda, Uganda; acknowledges the efforts of volunteers and organisers in raising nearly £80,000 to improve healthcare access in the region; recognises the dedication of Ian Young and his team in acquiring land for essential staff accommodation; applauds the members of the area's community for their generous support of the initiative, and wishes the project continued progress in achieving its goal of completing the clinic by 2027.
