Recognition for Volunteers of Woodland View Hospital, Irvine, at Compassion to Action Volunteer Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates staff and volunteers at Woodland View mental health facility and community hospital on their well-deserved recognition at the 2024 Compassion to Action Volunteer Awards; acknowledges what it considers to be the invaluable contributions of Katie Gilmour, Joyce Wilson, and Martyn Byers in improving patient and volunteer experiences; recognises the important role that Woodland View’s 24 volunteers play in supporting mental health services; believes that the facility’s performance continues on from the success of the previous years’ awards, and thanks all staff and volunteers for their ongoing commitment to improving mental health care in Ayrshire.
