The motion

That the Parliament congratulates 18-year-old Balerno High School pupil, James Wilson, on earning a Scotland call-up for two crucial Greece play-off matches in the Nations League; understands that James, who is a Heart of Midlothian striker, only turned 18 recently but has become a mainstay in the Hearts team since making his senior debut as a 16-year-old in January 2024; acknowledges that, so far this season, he has netted six times in 24 matches for the Tynecastle side; further acknowledges that, if he were to feature in either of the matches against Greece, in the first leg in Piraeus or the return leg at Hampden Park, he would become the third youngest player to represent Scotland; wishes the Scotland team well in these forthcoming matches, and wishes James continued footballing success.
