Gillian and Stevie O'Rourke Retire from The Horse and Anchor
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the retirement of Gillian and Stevie O'Rourke, owners ofThe Horse and Anchor in Cambusnethan; acknowledges that The Horse and Anchorhas been a well-known establishment in the area, remaining within the samefamily for over 35 years; understands that Stevie took over the pub from hisfather, John, continuing the family legacy; commends them both for theirdedication and service to the local community over the years, providing awelcoming space for locals and visitors alike; extends its best wishes to bothStevie and Gillian as they retire from the trade, and offers a heartfeltgratitude for their contributions to the local area and the hospitalityindustry.
