Congratulations to Hugh Black & Sons on Winning Smithfield Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Hugh Black & Sons on its success at the Smithfield Awards; understands that Hugh Black & Sons won the coveted Gold Smithfield Award for its outstanding black pudding, two additional Gold awards for its pork link sausages and ribeye fillet steak, and a silver status for its Scotch pie; acknowledges its prestigious Diamond Award, presented by Professor John Gilliland OBE DSc; understands that the Smithfield Awards are the most respected and rigorous product evaluation event in the meat trade, with over 200 products submitted by Q Guild butchers across the UK; commends Hugh Black & Sons for its craftsmanship, and wishes it continued success in the butchery trade.
