Celebrating 25 Years of Orkney's Gable End Theatre

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Gable End Theatre on its 25th anniversary; considers that the theatre has provided a valued performance space for local musicians and actors as well as internationally acclaimed performers; further considers that the Gable End Theatre has provided audiences with a wide variety of performances for 25 years during which time it has become a highly valued asset to the local community; understands that the anniversary will be marked by an evening of entertainment on 15 March 2025; celebrates the vision of its founder, Wright Atkinson, in bringing Hoy’s community together through entertainment and those who have upheld his legacy, and hopes that all involved with the Gable End Theatre continue to "break a leg" for the next 25 years and more.
