Holi Festival of Colours Celebration 2025

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Indian Arts Forum on organising and hosting what it believes was a successful Holi festival celebration in Saughton Park, Edinburgh, on 15 March 2025; recognises that Holi is a major Hindu festival of colours and love and celebrates the arrival of spring and the end of winter; understands that the festival is celebrated by throwing bright coloured powder over family and friends, dancing and singing; notes that the event included a live DJ, food stalls and photo booths, as well as the festive colour throw with participants covering each other in bright power, commends the Scottish Indian Arts Forum for bringing communities together for a fun-filled family-friendly celebration.
