Fife’s Sight Loss Charity Seescape Celebrates its 160th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that 2025 marks the 160th anniversary of the Fifesight-loss charity, Seescape, which is based in Glenrothes and provides supportfor people with visual impairments through special rehabilitation, socialgroups, home visits and drop-ins at its centre; believes that the charity has asignificant impact on blind and partially-sighted people; notes that it isholding a year-long fundraising initiative to support its work and commendseveryone who is taking part; further notes that Seescape is the operating nameof the Fife Society for the Blind, and understands that the charity reliesheavily on volunteers and fundraising; thanks it for all of its hardwork over the last 160 years to improve the lives of people with sightloss across Fife, and wishes Seescape a great year in celebrating thisfantastic milestone.
