Ramblers Scotland 60th Anniversary

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Ramblers Scotland on its 60th anniversary, having been set up in April 1965; highlights the work of its trustees, volunteers and members in achieving what it sees as significant membership growth and over 2,300 led-walks in 2024 alone; understands that three quarters of adults in Scotland walk for recreation at least once a month; believes that walking is one of the most easily accessible ways for people to improve physical and mental health, and commends and supports efforts to spread these benefits to all communities across the country.
