London Marathon Challenge for Kilwinning's Mhairi McCandless
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Kilwinning resident, Mhairi McCandless, on her commitment to running the London Marathon on 27 April 2025 in memory of her late brother-in-law, Drew Hunter; recognises Mhairi's dedication to raising funds and awareness for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society, a cause close to her heart, given the impact of MS on individuals and families across Scotland; commends her rigorous training and perseverance in preparing for the 26.2-mile challenge; acknowledges the generosity of the community members and businesses who have supported her fundraising efforts through donations and sponsorships, and wishes Mhairi the best of luck on race day as she takes on this remarkable challenge in honour of her brother-in-law and all those affected by MS.
