Solidarity with University of Dundee Trade Unions
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the campus trade unions at the University of Dundeefor what it sees as their dedication, solidarity and joint working since thereported financial crisis at the institution came to light in November 2024;recognises the two all-staff town hall meetings that they arranged to heartheir members' concerns; appreciates the organising and effort that has goneinto the industrial action that has been agreed in response to the announcedbudget reductions and proposed redundancies; commends what it believes is theirongoing commitment to protecting jobs and ensuring fair treatment for staff andstudents, and extends its best wishes for their continued efforts in advocatingfor workers' rights and the future of the university.
