Kirkwall City Pipe Band Presented with a King's Award for Voluntary Service

That the Parliament congratulates Kirkwall City Pipe Band on being presented with a King’s Award for Voluntary Service; recognises that this award is given to organisations that have provided exceptional standards of community service; understands that a King’s Award for Voluntary Service is considered to be equivalent to an MBE; applauds the dedication of Kirkwall City Pipe Band’s members for performing at numerous commemorations and celebrations across Orkney, and thanks them for the contribution that they make to community life in Orkney all year round.
