Recognising Clydebank Social Enterprise Crafting Together

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the founders, Elaine McIlree and Linda Murray, of Crafting Together in Clydebank; understands that the social enterprise offers adults with additional support needs an opportunity to learn new skills by making jewellery, textiles, homeware and other products, which are available to buy online and in various stores across Scotland; further understands that latest figures from the Fraser of Allander Institute show that employment rates for adults with additional support needs are as low as 4%; celebrates organisations such as Crafting Together for highlighting the deficit of employment opportunities for people with additional support needs, and acknowledges what it sees as a proactive, inclusive approach to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to enter the workforce.
