Recognition of Scottish Fishing Industry Leader
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Ian Gatt, who is the chief executive of the Scottish Pelagic Fishermen’s Association, on being appointed a CBE; considers that this honour reflects Ian’s significant contribution to Scotland’s fishing sector, providing leadership, advocacy and wise counsel over decades; thanks Ian for his outstanding efforts as an ambassador for Scotland’s fishing industry and heritage, and wishes him many more years of championing and promoting Scotland’s world-class seafood and fishing sector.
