25th Anniversary of Kilwinning Community Sports Club
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Kilwinning Community Sports Club on its 25th anniversary and the reopening of its fully refurbished pavilion building; acknowledges the club’s growth since its establishment, becoming, it understands, a key facility for sport in North Ayrshire; recognises the significant contribution of local footballing hero, Julie Fleeting Stewart, who officially opened the new-look facility alongside representatives from North Ayrshire Council, the Scottish Football Association and The Scottish Football Partnership; commends the club’s efforts to expand opportunities for girls’ and women’s football; welcomes the creation of a timeline and photo display showcasing the club’s rich history and achievements, and wishes Kilwinning Community Sports Club continued success in supporting grassroots sport for many years to come.
