Falkirk Groups Secure Funding via Falkirk Council’s Community Choices Fund 2025-26

That the Parliament congratulates all those groups within the Falkirk area that successfully secured funding through Falkirk Council’s Community Choices Fund; understands that the Community Choices Fund is Falkirk Council’s offering of a participatory budget programme, providing a democratic method via a public vote for local residents to have a direct say in how public money is spent to address their priorities by selecting their favourite community-led and focused projects; further understands that this is the fifth phase of this fund and that, since its launch in 2020, more than £3.4 million has been allocated through the Community Choices Fund, helping to deliver over 160 projects locally that make a real difference to the lives of those within Falkirk’s communities; recognises that, in Bo’ness, Bo’ness Car 4U received £5,000, the Newton Park Association received £4,600 and the Tuesday Club received £3,000; notes that, in Grangemouth, Equi-Power received £3,480, the Galaxy Foundation received £5,000 and Sealock Infinity received £5,000; understands that, in the Carse, Kinnaird and Tryst ward, the Dobbie Hall Trust received £5,000 and KLSB received £4,950; notes that, in the Lower Braes, the Polmont Community Hub received £4,980 and Polmont Together received £5,000; recognises that, in the Upper Braes, the Shieldhill Welfare Hall received £4,925 and the Maddiston Community Hub received £5,000; congratulates all groups on successfully securing funding via the Community Choices Fund to further benefit their local communities, and looks forward to seeing the development of the projects as a result of this funding.
