Glasgow Kiltwalk Fundraiser in Memory of Ava Nelson
The motion
That the Parliament commends the family of Ava Nelson on their fundraising efforts in her memory through participation in the Glasgow Kiltwalk on 27 April 2025; recognises the courage of Ava, a former Pennyburn Primary School pupil, who lived with cancer for two years before her passing at the age of 12; acknowledges what it sees as the invaluable support provided to Ava and her family by Robin House Hospice, operated by Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS); commends Ava’s mother, Jackie, her partner, Eddie Renor, and Ava’s sisters, Skye and Payton, for their dedication to raising funds for what it sees as this vital organisation, and encourages the public to support their efforts in ensuring CHAS can continue providing exceptional care to children and families in need.
