Glasgow Airport FlightPath Fund to Provide £130,000 in Community Support in 2025

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the announcement that the Glasgow Airport FlightPath Fund will provide £130,000 in community support in 2025; acknowledges that the fund has awarded almost £2 million to over 800 local community groups and charities since its establishment in 2010; recognises the fund's commitment to supporting projects that enhance opportunities, facilities and services for local people in north east Glasgow and other areas; notes that over £15,000 has been awarded to several charities and community groups in the first funding round of 2025; welcomes the fund's particular focus on supporting sustainability projects that improve the environment in communities surrounding the airport; commends the dedication of the FlightPath Fund committee, which includes councillors from the neighbouring local authorities, in seeking to ensure that the funds are directed to groups that bring positive benefits, and encourages local organisations to apply for funding to continue delivering meaningful change in their communities.
