Celebrating Harriet McKenzie's 100th Birthday at Glasgow Royal Infirmary

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Harriet McKenzie, who is a patient at Glasgow RoyalInfirmary, on the remarkable achievement of her 100th birthday, which shecelebrated at the hospital, surrounded by family and friends; acknowledges theefforts of the staff who went above and beyond to ensure that the occasion wasa joyous and memorable one, and a dedicated space for all who visited,including those who travelled from as far as Inverness and Aberdeen, to join inthe celebration; recognises Harriet's exceptional life, which has beenmarked by her strong will, resilience and dedication to her family; acknowledgesthat she has worked multiple jobs to support her loved ones, including sewingfor the army and navy and serving in the Women’s Timber Corps; celebratesHarriet's remarkable vitality and sense of joy, which it believes isexemplified by her singing and participation in activities such as paraglidingon her 90th birthday, and commends the outstanding care provided by the NHSGreater Glasgow and Clyde staff for both Harriet and her family on the occasionof this special milestone.
