Glasgow College Signs Partnership with Leading USA School

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the City of Glasgow College on its landmark international partnership with The Culinary Institute of New York at Monroe University, marking a significant step forward in global culinary education; recognises the mutual benefits that this three-year collaboration will bring to both institutions, including joint projects, staff exchanges and cultural collaborations focused on food, hospitality and innovation; commends the leadership of Dr Paul Little, Principal and Chief Executive Officer of the City of Glasgow College, and Gary Maclean, Scotland’s National Chef and Executive Chef at the college, for their commitment to shaping the next generation of culinary leaders through this partnership; supports the exploration of regional food heritage, sustainable kitchen practices and the celebration of global cuisine, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and techniques between students and staff, and recognises the opportunities that this partnership will provide for students to develop international friendships and gain invaluable experience while deepening the understanding of how food connects cultures, communities and careers.
