Glasgow Businessmen Raise Over £9,800 for SBH Scotland through Jail or Bail Event
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the organisers and participants of Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus (SBH) Scotland’s "Jail or Bail" fundraising event, held at The Corinthian in Glasgow on 28 March 2025; understands that the Glasgow businessmen, Drew Campbell, James Smith, Graham Wyllie and Johnny Barr, took part in the light-hearted event, which saw them "arrested", "tried" and required to raise £999 each in “bail money" to support the charity; notes that the event raised a total of £9,805, including gift aid, which will go towards providing vital services and support for individuals and families living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus across Scotland; recognises the creative approach to fundraising taken by SBH Scotland and the enthusiasm of all involved, including Police Scotland and the Solicitor Advocate, Kate Philips, and applauds the ongoing work of SBH Scotland in helping children and young people with complex disabilities to thrive.
