NHS Forth Valley Leads on Pioneering Clinical Trials
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates NHS Forth Valley’s Research and Development Unit on, it believes, being the first in Europe to begin clinical trials focussed on research into advanced and recurrent lung cancer; understands that the trials will be led by Dr Nicola Steele and supported by Dr Ben Fulton, Jennifer Wilson and Professor Euan Cameron, and that recruitment for eligible patients is now open, following the research team having obtained the necessary approvals to proceed; considers the contribution of such vital and innovative studies in putting Scotland at the forefront of medical research and development and in finding solutions that work towards tackling diseases such as lung cancer; thanks the team for their dedicated work, and wishes everyone involved all the best in their future endeavours.
