Motherland Spice Crowned Best of Ayrshire at Curry Awards Again
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Motherland Spice, in Saltcoats, on being crowned the Best of Ayrshire at the Scottish Curry Awards at a ceremony at Doubletree by Hilton in Glasgow on 14 April 2025; understands that the prestigious event recognises and celebrates the talents and hard work of individuals and businesses within the Scottish curry industry and aims to spotlight Scotland’s rich and diverse curry culture; recognises that Motherland Spice retained the title that it won 12 months ago by beating off stiff competition from across the county; is aware that the Bradshaw Street restaurant, run by Mahdav and Radha Bandhari, specialises in Nepalese cuisine and also received an outstanding achievement recognition for Dining Experience of the Year for South West Scotland; notes that Mahdav said that the triumph is testament to the hardworking team, from the kitchen and front of house to the delivery drivers, and wishes Mahdav and Radha, and everyone involved in Motherland Spice, continued success in their future endeavours.
