Congratulating St Bartholomew’s RC Primary School on Winning Gold at the School Sport Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates St Bartholomew’s RC Primary School in Coatbridge on receiving a Gold School Sport Award from sportscotland, supported by the National Lottery funding; applauds the school for demonstrating outstanding commitment to placing young people at the centre of decision making and the development of its sporting programme; recognises the efforts of staff and pupils in creating what it sees as inclusive and engaging opportunities in physical education and sport, and for building lasting connections with the local community to support pupils’ wider participation; understands that the Gold Award reflects best practice across the School Sport Award’s core areas, and acknowledges the school’s ongoing efforts to inspire a culture of sporting achievement and lifelong healthy habits among pupils.
