Cerebral Palsy Scotland Receives £1,000 Boost from Benefact Group’s Movement for Good Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Cerebral Palsy Scotland, based in Glasgow, on being selected as a recipient of a £1,000 grant through the Benefact Group’s Movement for Good Awards; believes that Cerebral Palsy Scotland plays a crucial role in supporting people living with cerebral palsy to achieve their potential by providing specialist therapy, practical advice, and a strong voice for those affected; welcomes this recognition of what it sees as this charity’s life-changing work and the positive difference that it makes to individuals and families across Scotland; notes that the award comes as part of the Movement for Good programme, run by the Benefact Group, an organisation wholly owned by a charity and driven by a mission to give all its available profits to good causes; understands that the Benefact Group has donated over £230 million to charitable initiatives since 2014, supporting thousands of grassroots and national charities across the UK and Ireland; commends the Group’s continued commitment to supporting the third sector through a wide range of funding opportunities aimed at empowering charities to deliver frontline services and tackle social inequalities, and wishes Cerebral Palsy Scotland every success as it continues what it sees as its vital work of advocating for and supporting people with cerebral palsy throughout Scotland.
