Dundonald Links, Irvine
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the ranking of Dundonald Links in Ayrshire as 35th among Scotland’s top golf courses by Top 100 Golf Courses; congratulates the club on its rapid rise in stature since its creation in 2003; commends it on its modern facilities and championship design; notes its role in hosting a number of major events, including the Scottish Open and the Women’s Scottish Open; celebrates its commitment to sustainability and high standards of hospitality; acknowledges what it sees as its integral role in showcasing Scottish golf to international audiences, and commends Dundonald Links for helping to support golf tourism and creating local employment opportunities.
