Congratulating Hibernian on SWPL 2025 Title Win

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Hibernian on winning the 2025 Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) title; recognises the team’s achievement in securing the championship with a 1-0 victory over Rangers at Ibrox on 18 May 2025; notes that this marks Hibernian’s first league title in 18 years and commends the resilience, determination and team spirit shown by the players and coaching staff throughout the season; acknowledges the efforts of coaching staff and the entire squad in overcoming injury challenges and defying expectations; celebrates the inspiration that this success highlights to young women and girls across Scotland who aspire to participate in football and sports more widely, and wishes Hibernian continued success for the future.
