Queen’s Guide Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Laura Lewis of Cullen, Banffshire and Buchan Coast, on achieving the prestigious Queen’s Guide Award, the highest accolade in Girlguiding; recognises Laura’s dedication in completing a diverse range of personal challenges, including knitting hats and jackets for premature babies, enhancing her ukulele skills, contributing to the planning and delivery of Girlguiding Moray’s Rainbow and Brownie Fun Days, and organising a trip to Sangam, India, to celebrate World Thinking Day; understands that the Queen’s Guide Award is a testament to leadership, resilience, and community service, and is awarded to young women aged 16 to 31 who demonstrate exceptional commitment; commends Laura for embodying the values of Girlguiding and serving as an inspiring role model for young women across Scotland, and wishes her continued success in all future endeavours.
