Welcoming Home the Stoney Express for Summer 2025
The motion
That the Parliament commends all those who have revitalised the Stonehaven land train, The Stoney Express, six years after its last tour; understands that this volunteer-run amusement has brought joy to both tourists and locals since 2014; recognises that this is one of several unique attractions supported by the passionate and active community in Stonehaven, including the annual Hogmanay Fireballs, the R. W. Thomson rally, and the award-winning food offering on the bay; acknowledges the contribution of the land train to the local tourist economy, and congratulates everyone involved, wishing them well with this and future activities.
