Celebrating WM Donald’s Family Business of the Year Award at the Northern Star Business Awards 2025

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates WM Donald on winning the Family Business of the Year award at the Northern Star Business Awards 2025; recognises what it sees as the company’s outstanding contribution to the north east economy as a leading civil engineering and construction firm, founded in 1977 by Willie and Elaine Donald; commends its significant growth, doubling turnover in recent years and playing a pivotal role in major regional projects, including Aberdeen’s largest housing developments and the One SeedPod innovation hub; applauds the company’s commitment to workforce development and community engagement, fostering skills and opportunities in the region, and wishes WM Donald and its employees continued success in driving innovation in Scotland’s business landscape.
