Fundraiser of the Year at the Moray and Banffshire Heroes Awards

The motion

That the Parliament applauds Emma Byrne from Buckie, Banffshire and Buchan Coast, on being named Fundraiser of the Year at the Moray and Banffshire Heroes Awards, which were held at the Banff Springs Hotel, in recognition of her outstanding efforts in raising over £40,000 for local cancer support groups over the past 18 months: believes that her fundraising efforts have significantly benefited organisations such as the Buckie and District Cancer Support Group, providing vital support to those affected by cancer in the community; commends Emma's role as a nursery assistant at St Peter’s nursery, where she continues to inspire those around her, and celebrates Emma's compassion, and dedication, which, it believes, exemplify the very best of community spirit and resilience in Banffshire and Buchan Coast.
