Macduff Shipyards Wins Boat of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Forever Faithful and all involved in its design and construction on being awarded Over-15m Boat of the Year at the 2025 Fishing News Awards; commends Macduff Shipyards for its central role in designing and building this outstanding vessel, and for continuing, it believes, to exemplify Scotland’s proud shipbuilding tradition from its thriving bases at Macduff and Buckie harbours, where it employs hundreds of highly skilled workers; recognises the unanimous decision of the judging panel, which praised Forever Faithful for its exceptional innovation, crew comfort, safety, fuel efficiency and build quality, particularly highlighting its innovative bagging arm and crew-safe deck design, as well as separate accommodation offering improved living standards at sea, and celebrates this award and believes it is a testament to the world-class engineering, craftsmanship, and vision being delivered by Macduff Shipyards, which ensures that Scotland remains at the forefront of modern boatbuilding.
